Meet the friendly veterinary care team at Roblin Animal Hospital - My Vet!
Dr. Evan Fisk graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in 1996.
After working in small animal medicine for over 25 years and been a valuable member of our team, Dr. Fisk has decided to retire from small animal practice. We wish him a pleasant retirement.
Meshack was born in a town by the Atlantic Ocean in Africa with pigs, goats, chickens, dogs, and cats all around the house. His family fed the animals before themselves, recognizing that the humans and animals existed as co-dependents. Thus Meshack grew up caring for these animals as an important part of the family.
Dr. Kusa met his love, Olga, at veterinary school in Moscow, Russia, and they both graduated from Veterinary College in 1992. He worked in dynamic small animal practice in Moscow for over ten years before moving to Winnipeg. Here he took additional training in human diagnostic medical sonography and is both an American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer and a Canadian Registered Generalist Sonographer. He worked at Health Sciences Centre performing diagnostic ultrasound on humans before proceeding to get his veterinary licensure in Canada. He currently performs ultrasound examinations on pets at various other veterinary clinics in Winnipeg and really enjoys diagnostic imaging. Dr. Kusa is a wonderful addition to Roblin Animal Hospital.
On a personal note, Dr. Kusa is the proud father of three boys. He is also the happy owner of a British blue, short hair domestic cat named Lucy, which is also an immigrant in Winnipeg from Moscow.
Teo was born in the mountains of Romania in Eastern Europe and grew up in a farm-like setting with dairy cows, swine, sheep and poultry reared by his parents and of course with dogs and cats all around the house. Though Dr. Bularca was naturally interested in the health status of these animals, he went to study history and literature, then mathematics and physics prior to the vet college. Becoming a veterinarian was a natural, continuous and gradual progress. He graduated from the veterinary college in Timisoara, Romania, in 1993, practiced in mixed animal clinics in Europe, then later moved to Canada. After obtaining his license in 2007 to practice veterinary medicine in Canada, he spent sometime at Central Veterinary Services, then several years at McPhillips Animal Hospital, and has been part of Roblin team since 2017 as a relief / locum veterinarian. Dr. Bularca is very happy to put his very best knowledge and experience at work to give a better and longer life to our furry friends on regular basis right here at Roblin Animal Hospital.
Dr. Raymond Reboja was born and raised in Winnipeg until age 5 when his parents moved to the Philippines with him at a very young age. While growing up around animals there - dogs, pigs and chickens, he developed a kin interest in becoming a veterinarian! He graduated from the veterinary school in the Philippines in 2013, started a career as a swine and poultry practitioner, then as a mixed animal practitioner focusing on small animals, cattle and equine. He moved back to where he was born (Winnipeg) in 2014 and hence focus on our beloved dogs and cats. As a veterinarian, Dr. Reboja enjoys the challenge of trying to come up with solutions as well as creating bonds with our awesome patients and clients. He also enjoys continuously learning about ways to improve quality of veterinary care as he strongly believes that to find a sense of fulfillment in life; we must push ourselves to improve every day.
Outside of work, he spends time with his furry friends - Shasta, a mix breed dog; Nacho, one eyed Chihuahua; Eggnog and Mumu , both domestic shorthair cats, and hanging out with family and friends, camping, playing basketball, running, attending concerts or sporting events!
Summer grew up and still lives in the country. Her parents always participated in rodeos when she was a kid and teenager and this led to lots of exposure to animals for her. After high school, she started working in a construction company but her love for animals led her to take veterinary technologist program. She graduated from Red River veterinary technologist program in spring of 2021 and immediately joined small animal practice full time and at the same time working part-time at the emergency hospital before joining our team. She is passionate about animals and advocate for their comfort. She enjoys radiology and planning on more training in diagnostic ultrasound.
Summer is a certified Basic Life Support and Advanced Life Support Personnel – so both the staffs and our pets are covered. When not at work, Summer is taking care of her two rescued dogs – a Labrador by name Ella and a German Sheppard mix Gunner.
Jasmine grew up on the farm and had animals always around her. Her love for pets lead her to working as a veterinary assistant for the Winnipeg veterinary Care group attaining the position of Lead veterinary assistant. She later moved on to work for Western Drug Distribution Centre (a veterinary drugs/equipment distribution centre) as customer service associate working with the veterinary hospitals they serve. Jasmine join our team in summer of 2021 while still studying to become a paramedic. Jasmine completed her human paramedic program in summer of 2022, but because of the love for our furry friends, she is still a member of our team.
Megan's love and interest in animals started at a young age growing up on a farm in rural North Dakota. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in animal science from the University of Minnesota, Crookston with over 12 years' experience as a veterinary assistant and veterinary technician assistant. Megan joined our team in early 2021. In her free time, Megan enjoys painting and photography.
Michelle’s love for animals began when she was young. Her grandmother taught her to love and respect all animals and her Dad gave her the first pet – a cat named Baby Ty and she has never looked back. Michelle has worked with horses and small animals before joining our team, and working at a veterinary hospital gives her the ability to work with amazing people who share her love of animals and the opportunity to care for them. Michelle is invariably courteous and soft-spoken and enjoys meeting clients and their furry family friends. When she’s not caring for animals and clients at work, she spends most of her time with her cat Wellington and watching TV snuggled on the couch.
Jayde graduated from the Veterinary Assistant program at Robertson College. She completed her practicum with us and immediately joined our team. She grew up with dogs in the house and always love animal. After seeing her dog Hondo went through surgery, she knew she wanted to help and work with animals any way she could. That, in fact made her to leave her job at Cindy Klassen Recreation Complex and head on to Robertson College for the Veterinary Assistant program. Jayde is a proud owner of 2 cats – Bowie and Friday (TGIF). In her free time she likes to take her son to the zoo again and again, go on doggie dates and spend time with her family and friends.
